Education and Qualifications

Dr. Vikram Agarwal completed his M.Ch. in Pediatric Surgery from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and Sion Hospital, Mumbai, during 2005–2008. During this time, he received advanced training under the guidance of renowned pediatric surgeons B. K. Kulkarni and Paras Kothari.

He earned his M.S. in General Surgery from Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, between 2002–2005. During this period, he trained under experienced hepatobiliary surgery experts S. K. Mathur, G. B. Davar, and B. L. Chitlangia, along with other senior faculty members.

Between 2001 and 2002, Dr. Agarwal served as Medical Officer (In-Charge) at Warthi Primary Health Centre in Bhandara district, Maharashtra. This service formed part of the mandatory one-year rural medical posting.

He completed his M.B.B.S. from Seth Gordhandas Sundardas Medical College, Mumbai, during 1994–2000.

Earlier, he completed his schooling at St. Peter’s College in Agra, where he studied from primary level through intermediate education between 1981 and 1993.

Courses, Meetings, and Conferences

Dr. Vikram Agarwal actively participates in professional conferences, workshops, and medical education programs. These activities help him stay updated with the latest developments in pediatric surgery.

He is a Life Member of the Association of Surgeons of India since 2017. He also served as Organizer and Chairperson of IAPSCON 2016, the 42nd National Conference of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons held in Agra in September 2016.

In July 2013, he provided medical services through HelpAge India for disaster-affected people in Uttarakhand.

Earlier, he worked as Organizer and Chairperson at the Annual Conference on Pediatric Urology (PUC-IAPS) held in Agra in March 2012.

Dr. Agarwal has been a Life Member of the Indian Medical Association since May 2010. He also served as an Executive Member in 2017. In addition, he attended a CME program on Ophthalmology conducted by CFS and IMA Agra in August 2010.

He is also a Life Member of the Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India (SELSI) since July 2009. He participated in LAPCON-2009, a conference and live workshop on pediatric laparoscopic surgery held in Lucknow.

Dr. Agarwal attended several specialized workshops including Pediatric Surgery Update 2008 at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He also participated in the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Workshop at BHIMS Mumbai conducted by Shizuo Oi from Japan.

His academic participation also includes international workshops on pediatric urology, reconstructive urology, and laparoscopic surgery held in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Agra.

During his student years, Dr. Agarwal participated in PULSE ’96, the All-India Cultural, Literary, and Sports Festival held at AIIMS, New Delhi. He also won a football event at the All-India Inter-Medical Sports Festival held at TNMC & BYL Nair Hospital in Mumbai in 1994.
